Day 1Welcome To Bogota!

Welcome to Colombia! Today, you will be transferred privately from the Bogota Airport to your hotel. You will have a bilingual guide accompanying you. Get ready for your Colombian adventure!

Day 2Discover The Sights Of Bogota

Today you will explore Bogota! This guided visit to the Colombian capital starts in the Plaza de Bolívar (the city’s main square), which is surrounded by federal government buildings. It continues into the old colonial part of the city better known as “La Candelaria”, the San Francisco Church and the Gold Museum. The tour finishes with a trip in a cable car to the top of the Monserrate Hill, which offers a spectacular view of the city.

Day 3Explore Thriving Medellin

Today, you will be exploring Medellin. This tour takes you to the most important touristic sights of the “City of Eternal Spring” in just 4 hours. Explore downtown Medellin and the historic center and listen to local musicians and the traditional guasca music while visiting the Parque Berrio. Stroll through the hustle and bustle of downtown Medellin to the famous Botero Plaza with an exhibition of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, whose sculptures have become a landmark of the city. Take the metro cable up to Santo Domingo, which was once a notorious area for gang violence in Medellin. The cable car was constructed to make the inner city more accessible for people from the outskirts, and gives visitors a glimpse into the lives of the marginalized population.

Day 4Discover Authentic Colombian Coffee

Experience the traditional coffee culture in a typical Colombian coffee finca. In an area that measures less than three hectares, Don Octavio Acevedo and his family produce their own coffee brand and give you the unique opportunity to witness the whole process of coffee making from the plant to the cup. Before lunch, stroll through the coffee fields and learn more about growing and collecting the coffee beans. After a traditional countryside lunch, you will get an insight into the roasting process and the best way to prepare the coffee. Get to know the typical day to day life of Colombian coffee farmers.

Day 5Travel To Cartagena

Take a private transfer to your hotel from Rionegro Airport. Later, catch a flight from Medellin to Cartagena. You will be provided with a private transfer from the Cartagena Airport.

Day 6Traverse Magical Cartagena

Today’s fascinating half-day tour starts with a visit of the most important monuments in Cartagena. Start at the Convent of La Popa (the highest point of the city) and continue to the Castillo de San Felipe, an immense fort filled with history and mysteries hidden in its stonewalled tunnels. Leaving the castle, you will visit the monument of Zapatos Viejos, the “Old Shoes”. Certainly the most impressive monument is the gigantic defensive wall that surrounds the old city, and overlooks the sea and its well-preserved colonial architecture. During the rest of the visit you will see the city’s churches, museums, plazas, restaurants, shops and jewelry stores.

Day 7Explore The Rosario Islands

Takes off on a speedboat from the “Muelle Santa Cruz” towards “Rosario Islands” and Isla de Majagua. On arrival, a fruit cocktail is served. Now you will have time to swim or relax on the small island with white sandy beaches. After lunch (Fish, coconut rice and a great dessert) you will have more time to relax, swim or snorkel. In the afternoon, head back to Cartagena. The trip will be conducted in the company of an international group of tourists, under the supervision of a bilingual guide.

Day 8Farewell, Colombia!

Take a private transfer from your hotel to the Cartagena Airport. Catch your flight from Cartagena to Bogotá and onwards. Safe travels home, and visit again soon!
